Sol had done extensive work before I joined on creating a modern brand and website for Blacklidge Emulsions that I would argue is industry-leading in terms of its refined color pallet, typography and imagery. Blacklidge quickly became one of my favorite clients to work for not only because of their fonts but because I found it fascinating to learn about how companies operating in fairly niche business sectors work to build vital infrastructure across the country.
Around 5 years after Sol's initial rebrand, Blacklidge had expanded its product line and its ambitions of what it wanted to provide to the industry—notably safety resources and thought leadership on what America's asphalt industry can be doing differently, better, and more sustainably. We updated their website with more detailed navigation and better product organization, and made it so future initiatives can easily find a home.
